Welcome to St Nicholas’ Church
Our church is very friendly and dynamic offering a warm welcome to both newcomers and visitors. The cycle of services (see the page below) offers a variety of liturgical forms and central to all services is to ensure the young, very young and families are well catered for – so if you are new please come and meet us and introduce yourself! And please note that the church is unlocked and accessible during the day.
St Nicholas’ Church is a central part of our thriving community sitting in the heart of the old part of the village with our primary school, the village hall, local shop and pub all within a few yards.
Cuddington is one of five parishes in the Wychert Vale Benefice, which includes the parishes of Haddenham, Cuddington, Kingsey, Stone with Dinton & Hartwell and Aston Sandford. There is a full team of both clergy and lay members which covers all aspects of running and administering the benefice www.wychertvale.org
The running of St Nicholas is undertaken by members of the congregation, its church wardens, the Parochial Church Council (PCC) and the Benefice Office in Haddenham, which supports the administration of weddings, funerals and baptisms. The congregation at St Nicholas
Congregations usually number more than 40 at each 10.00am service, although this can increase to 80 for Family Services. The church electoral roll is made up of about 60 members, several of whom live outside Cuddington. Clearly quite a number of people from outside the village are attracted to the type of services held here, and we believe they are also encouraged by the friendly welcome of the congregation.

Children
The bringing up of children in the Christian tradition is very important to us. At the 10 o'clock services facilities are available for special teaching for children either in the service or in the bernard Hall opposit the church building. There is an area within the church itself provided for parents with toddlers.
Prayer
In the Notice Sheets prepared for each Sunday service there is a list of those for whom prayer has been specifically requested. Anyone can request prayer when they have a need.
Architectural Heritage
There has been a church on this site since at least the late 11th century and there is a record of the incumbents from 1086 on the south wall of the church.
